I am the heaviest I have ever been and my numbers are not looking good. I am on three different medications and I am not moving comfortably through the world.
ENOUGH
I keep waiting for special start dates and putting this off.
ENOUGH
So Saturday I had a plan to get out and walk. John texted me from work and asked if I would walk dogs with him. At first I thought, shit this is going to sabotage me. And then I said "OK - I will start with a short walk with John and then head out for an actual fitness walk".
SO I DID
We did the loop around to Somerset and back. It was .85 miles. Very slow but lot's of resistance so some upper body work.
Then I left John and the dogs at the house and headed down Lakepointe. Went to Windmill Pointe, over to Barrington, and back home. 2.61 miles with an 18'40" pace.
Sunday I had hoped to get out and walk before our drive to Oscoda. I did not. Too much wine and beer and too late to bed.
So this morning I was out again. Today I headed up Jefferson to Bedford, down Bedford to Windmill Pointe, around again to Barrington and home. 3.36 miles with an 18'16" pace.
So now the challenge is - going back to work tomorrow - can I do it again? In the morning? With a 5:30 wake up.
I'm sure my doctor appointment this afternoon will inspire me!
